About The CleftStone Works

The CleftStone Works imports, manufactures and distributes Natural Cleft and Honed Limestone, Quartzite, Slate, and Travertine stone tiles quarried from Brazil, China, India, South Africa and Turkey. With these unique stones, our proud American Craftspeople in our modern stone workshop in Eastern Pennsylvania are capable of producing a wide variety of tile shapes, sizes, textures and patterns. To complement these manufacturing capabilities, we also offer made-to-order, hand-finished stone accessories ranging from decorative bar liners to kitchen countertops.

Our collections of natural stone are available in Squares, Rectangles, Rhomboids, Pentagons, Hexagons and Octagons in a variety of lengths and widths ranging from 1” to 24”. For an antiqued “old world” look tiles may be produced with a Tumbled or Cobbled finish. In addition, our facility is capable of producing a limitless number of stunning custom Random Ashlar, Block Ashlar, Strip, Planking, Border and Standard Tile patterns. This allows for the creation of refined, unique designs that may be customized for each project with preferred patterns, module sizes, joint sizes, colors, stones, blends and finishes. Mosaics and several small pattern modules can also be hand-assembled and adhered to mesh.

Custom, hand-finished Accessory items such as Bar Liners, Shelves, Thresholds, Caps, Baseboards and Countertops are produced regularly. These items are available in a large range of sizes with a variety of edge treatments including Pencil Edge, Bullnose Edge, Bevel Edge, Bookend Edge and more.
